Preparedness

Are you prepared for an emergency? Are you ready for a Natural disaster, a Terrorist attack
or any other natural or manmade Emergency? Learn how to make an Emergency Supply Kit, make a Family Emergency Plan and get
information if a disaster happens. A disaster can happen at home, work or school.
Child Safety Seats Cost: $10/person

October 26, 2010 Time: 7pm-8pm
Learn how to properly install a Child Car Seat. This seminar will teach parents and caregivers
how to determine which car seat is best for their child, where and how to install it in their vehicle, how to look up recalls
and other important safety information on how to keep your child safe in a car.

This course is teaches rescuer skills in
CPR and relief of choking (foreign-body airway obstruction). It presents information about the American Heart Association
adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. The course also presents
information on the American Heart Association pediatric infant and child Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and
children, how to reduce risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), and prevention of the most common fatal injuries in infants
and children.
First Aid
(AHA) Cost:
$45/pereson ($40 if taken with CPR/AED)
Date: Monday November 15, 2010 Time: 6:30pm-9:30pm The First Aid Course teaches rescuers to effectively
recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive.
Home Security and Family Safety Cost:
$20/person
Date: Tuesday November 23, 2010 Time:
7pm-8pm Don’t be a victim of a burglary. Learn how to protect your home and your family. This course teaches homeowners how to use locks, alarms, lighting,
landscaping and other security methods to reduce your chances of being a target of a burglary.
